Welcome to the world of Stealth series from JL... they know u want the clean look, so they will charge you for it.
There is nothing special about this, other than the fact that it fits the Camaro perfectly! |

The sub alone is $250. Add the box, carpeting, name brand, etc..
..not really worth the price IMO-build your own, add a good brand/spec sub and viola~! |

Steve, how much rattle does the 12" sub w/400w amp combo produce in a 2010 Camaro? Mine is on order and im trying to prepare for which system I want. Also, if you could recommend a sound dampening product, which is the best?

With 400w on one 12, you don't get too many of rattles. Maybe some if you pump the volume up. But I've found it also depends on the notes that are being hit as to which ones will rattle and which ones won't. Deadener should help this a lot. I can't answer deadening brand q's, as I haven't done any to mine yet. Some of the others can chime in here.

Fiberglass boxes are usually more expensive than wood ones, for a couple reasons, one being they take up less space since they can contour to curves really well, they weigh less, and in my opinion fit the car a lot better. I looked at a couple of the options and didn't want the Jl since the price was high and it came with a woofer, not to mention it doesn't look all that custom.
I ended up going with the audio integrations' enclsosure http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44815 , and am extremely happy, it just has this fit that screams it was meant to be there |
