Where is oil filter on 3.6 V6??

This thread seems to indicate its a replaceable filter insert, not spin on?
http://autospeed.com/cms/A_2264/article.html

Is this correct?

K&N has them. Its a cartridge type and from the pic Ive seen, looking at the front of the motor, its on the front right hand side. Theres suppose to be a cover located on top, pull out old, drop in new, replace cover, no mess!

Interesting and good to know is this going to be an item that your local quick lube won't have in stock so you have to go to the dealership??

Should have one... same motor goes in a number of vehicles... including the wife's Acadia...

Local place I trust to do oil changes (they let me walk around under the car while they work) had them...
