Limited Slip?

The press release this morning said that Manual transmissions are the only cars getting limited slip. I thought Chevy has said that all SS cars get it?

I would go with the Order Guide over a press release.

Same here....there is no way that the SS auto should get limited slip. It would be utterly ridiculous.

Cars without limited slip have 1 drive wheel if you spin the tires you will only leave 1 track mark. Limited slip is built into the rear so under power both wheels are drive wheels 2 track marks. This is just a rudimentary explanation.

Per the order guide under the mechanical page: http://www.gmfleetorderguide.com/NAS...page=6&butID=3

Quote:
G80 Differential, limited slip- 1LT and 2LT available, manual trans only. 1SS and 2SS shows as standard, with no limitations/exceptions.
So, 2.0T and 3.6 cars with manual transmission get the limited slip, and M6 and A8 SS get limited slip. No limited slip for 2.0T and 3.6 with A8.

Sounds like all SS models will get limited slip. But LT models need a manual to get it.

Uh...did you read my post before yours above?

Allow me to copy paste for you:

The V6 deal was the same on the Gen 5 cars. V6 Gen 5 cars with auto had open diff, manuals got the limited slip, and all SS trans options got the limited slip.
