Just bought my wife a 2015 Mustang EcoBoost Premium
Always been a Camaro guy but she liked them and I actually do as well. But I will not be getting rid of my Camaro for one. Waiting barely patiently for the Gen6.

I'm buying one or the other, I have no allegiance to any company. I wish the challenger was making a new generation too because I'd consider that also. Love them all.

Congrats! Crank the boost up on that thing and let us know what it does. Havnt heard a (non-biased)1st hand impression, yet.

I was kind of in the same boat. My wife wanted a convertible, but she didn't like the Camaro (to my disappointment). We ended up ordering a 2015 GT Premium. So far I am impressed with the car. The interior is nicer than I had expected.

The new Mustang is nice, inside and out, but it's just a bit cramped for my liking.

So far have not gotten to get on it too much. Only had 16 miles when we got it delivered so still in the break in period. I will say though I am very impressed with the power out of that thing. Especially when you consider it is a 4 Cylinder. I guess it actually puts out more horsepower than the v6 version. I cannot imagine how fast the GT is. I will say compared to my 2011 2SS the interior blows my Camaro away. Nicer seats. Obviously many more bells and whistles being 4 year newer technology. There are some things I really hope the new Camaro incorporates. Cooled seats. Ability to change the ambient lighting inside to almost any color you could want. Nicer leather. Even has a cool but obviously splurge option where when you open the door at night it shines a mustang symbol on the ground.

Isn't the Challenger supposed to be updated/replaced for the '17 MY? I remember a rumor that Dodge was ditching the Challenger for 2017 and bringing out a smaller, lighter 'Cuda to compete better with the Mustang and Camaro.

I haven't seen anything but I did hear about using the Cuda name.

They are pretty cool. Also the 4cyl. I was considering it also. But.
Please dont make the mistake other ecoboost owners do. They open up the exhaust. As much as i hate to say it, they sound like shit the louder they get. Sorry. It's a shame as the car is pretty good and has plenty of power. You just cant make a bird sing like human or the opposite. |

As for a new smaller Challenger, they would have to develop a completely new platform just for the Challenger since the current car shares it with the Charger and is the main reason it weights so much. If Dodge drops the Viper, I could see something like that. But unlikely that Dodge will depart from the Charger platform to make a new Challenger that has never sold well enough to justify something like that. Dodge is desperate, so who knows

Alright ... I just deleted more than half the thread because of off-topic bickering. Lets get things back on topic again, shall we?
Also, I have moved this to Camaro5's General Automotive & Other Cars

the ecoboost is a great daily driver. My commute is 42 miles so I can't take the Camaro :-)
