CHILL?! It's like you don't even understand. How can one be expected to enjoy a car, when a person you've never met, writes a review you don't agree with, in a magazine you don't even read, about a test done at a track you'll probably never go to? HOW?! You can't expect someone to simply enjoy what they've bought with their own hard earned without praise from the masses and/or mass media. That's crazy talk. Go home it's 3am, you're drunk. Or I am, whatever...someone needs to go home.

I know, these guys are whitty. With the gen 6 looking the way it does, I might even consider buying a 350gt and joining these guys

I think from what I have read:
Shelby GT350R faster laps than Z28 I guess the 6th. gen Camaro SS might be faster or = to GT350 Upcoming 6th. gen 1LE will beat the GT350 and maybe close to the GT350R Upcoming Z28 or ZL1 should beat GT350R Corvette Stingray Z51 beats GT350 Shelby GT500 with improved brakes ventilation would beat ZL1 Z06 beats GT350R Viper ACR beats all above ZORA Corvette VS Ford GT VS Viper ACR ? C&D comparing GT350 Recaros VS Stingray's regular seats wasn't fair, they should have compared them with Corvette's competition seats. C&D was not fair with the results. In reallity the Stingray Z51 won. They did it to sell more magazines.

I got this issue a few weeks back when it came in the mail. I saw the cover and was like "oh wow, damn that Mustang must be fast" I immediately flipped to the back of the article to see all of the metrics and then said "wait....what? So it didn't beat the Vette...ok got ya" and then put the magazine down to never be read again. Cars don't beat other cars on what you feel...Cars beat other cars by quantifiable data. Why even test them then if its not going to matter? Just take each down the road and back and just make a call based on how fun that was to do.

If all that mattered really was the quantifiable performance specs, we would all be driving v8 powered tube chassis go carts with race slicks to work. The GT350R won because it really is a more fun car to drive than the vette. I've driven both and the gt350 really is something else.

It wasn't the R, it was just the GT350 with track package.
I agree that the GT350R is a great car but not the regular GT350, their performance is very different.

I've driven the gt350 and the vette. The gt350 really is a much nicer car to drive, and a much better engine. Corvette looks nice for now but i think it's styling isn't very timeless and will grow long in the tooth soon. Much like c4, c5, c6 vettes before them.

As I said before, all the mags did this before, only that time the ZL1 was chosen...and everyone was okay with it because it was the Camaro that won. Read back on the GT500 mega-thread, if the mods haven't destroyed it. People were saying "it's more than just about raw performance" and such.. |
