Don't think Mustang is Camaros v6 biggest competition

Sorry to say Hyundai Genesis is lighter and 25hp more. Come on Chevy, up the hp and/or drop some weight. Definetly offer optional gearing.

The Genesis actually has 36 more hp, 348 versus 312, respectively.

Those are more on par in pricing with a SS or 5.0 so I think Chevys pricing is okay. If youre someone who actually cares about being faster than you should be modifying no matter which of the 3 you have. In which case its a wash because they all can be made faster than the other.

I would much rather drive a Genesis Coupe than a Mustang.. There's a Genesis in my town that is sponsered and it is SIIIIIIICCKKKK!

I would imagine there is little to no aftermarket for any Hyundai..... With the Genesis, if there is any at all I would think most of it is kiltered towards the 2.0T ?

Its crazy to see v-6's putting out numbers the v-8's use to. Its quite amazing because that means they generally make the v-8s quite a bit faster D.

I definitely am so excited that the muscle car wars came back. I was always a little jealous and wandered what it would of been like to live back in the day when muscle cars first came out... well were re living those days for sure but with alot more hp in my opinion.

Actually there is around a 4k difference between the SS and Genesis R-Spec V6, with the Genesis at $28,750 and the 1SS at $32,635, the 1LT Camaro is $25,760 which is probably the closest V6 to the R-spec, minus the R-Specs brembo brakes and performance suspension. honestly, the 2.0T is as quick or quicker than a V6 Camaro and it starts at $24,250 ($26,500 for the performance tuned R-spec 2.0T)

What kind of times do they run? Anybody know?

I'd wait until they run 12's/low 13's before you determine they are out the Camaro range and the Mustang can't match.

Don't you guys run a best of N/A 13.7? How much faster could the Genesis be?

I have seen consistent 104-105 trap for the new 3.8 Genesis V6, times varying from 13.7-13.9

I don't closely follow the genesis, but I read just yesterday that there is intake, tune, exhaust, and headers available for the V6 version (not sure what else). That alone probably adds an easy 20 - 30 HP to stock.

Man...the Camaro V6 makes good power...its just so heavy. If only it were more in the 3,300 to 3,400 lb range it would be such a great car. I guess thats where the 6th gen is going and i can't wait.

Stock....very low or flat 14 capable with ideal conditions....but rare.

Modded...looking at low-mid to mid 13s possible....but of course without a perfect launch or in warm temps those times go up considerably

You still dont get the torque like a V8 has and you sure cant replicate the sound of a V8. Reminds me of that old saying, 'Horsepower sells cars, but torque wins races'.

Also, I wouldn't drive a Hyundai. I'd take a Mustang or Camaro regardless of if the Hyundai is faster.
