Ahh I should've mentioned I upgraded the fronts to Brembos so the braking does feel a lot better. But yes they squeal like hell. Better performing than ceramic pads, from what I'm told.

Brembo swap and just go from there the stock single piston v6 brakes arnt worth putting anymore money into untill you get more pistons working for you, we picked up our full set of rotors, pads, calipers, and hoses with 1000 miles on them for $500

Thought I'd try and get some help in this thread...
I'm about to put in Hawks HP Plus pads on new rotors... My question is, (probably a dumb one at that...lol.) do you re-use the thin shim pad that is on the stock rear pads?... The stock pads for the front did not have a removable shim....Does the piston for the front (and back) go directly onto the new pad metal back, or should there be a shim/plate in between for the piston to hit? Thanks in advance... |

Edit:....rear pistons are more of a ring than a full face like the fronts....so "rough area" I mentioned above is a non-issue....No shims, piece of cake...thanks, boys....see you on campus..lol... Last edited by 90503; 11-08-2013 at 04:09 PM. |
