That's actually shitty as I did better in my manual on stock wheels and tires. However if your buddy adds a stall he will be running 11.4s with nothing changed.

I'm not sure what slim DR's are, are you saying skinnies and drag radials out back?
At similar raceweights an L99 car can run the same I'd say. The two L99 guys on here who went 11.4's did so with a bunch of weight out of the cars (seats, skinnies). I would think that the GT's are going lighter maybe 3650-3700 with skinnies and seats out. Tim on here went 11.9@115 with 3.70 (auto car), slicks, skinnies, bolt-ons, seats in, and stock converter.

Yep, real big converters and race gas tunes. Not on pump gas. Not the one I'm familiar with. I'm talking like 4000-4600 stall.
I'm not a hater, I owned 5 Mustangs and 6 Camaros. I just like GM more. But I've done all I could to drop weight out of the car without it looking stripped. Just a simple daily driver.

Yeah.
The cars are tuned for max performance on E85, and I know guys who have run high 7's on E85 in the 1/4. That's a big power gain. On 92 pump I would think they'd run 11.4-11.5. Do you have a Mustang too Novi1LE what does yours run?

My friend runs Tim's time if I remember the MPH at 116+ with only those mods I listed at stock weight. No gears, skinnies, and no LTs. His goal was 11s with a minimum of mods. A converter is overkill to him. On a good DA night he will run consistent 11.9s. But he is getting bored with that. So he might add the convertor, LTs, Boss manifold, and bigger DRs to go for 10s. Agreed its all about weight. But mod for mod the Mustang GT 2011+ is faster than a 5th gen SS. That is why 5.0s are faster. The engines each have advantages over the other, but in the end arrive at just about the same place. Although I think the LS engines can handle really big FI power a little better than 302s. Just my opinion. But isn't it fun to beat a faster car with a slower one? That is why mine is a Camaro SS M6.

I have respect for this local manual trans GT guy that has gone 11.3-11.4, but it's about the only non-power adder Mustang I've seen run that good.
I think I can run 11.8 without skinnies and stripping the car, we'll see when the local tracks open. After that I'll do the ghetto weight reduction.

Yes we met at ATCO when my car was a week old. I got 3 runs and left early cause it has horrible. My best run was my frist run ever with the car and it was 13.1 @ 110. I think on the second run I wheel hoped so much that i missed a shift and on the third run the tires just let loose in second ruining the run. It was a cold night and as you know the Goodyears turn into plastic trays at those temps. Have not been back since and most likely won't be back as I bought the 1LE for Autox/Track days.
