Latest issue of Autoweek has a 2SS 1LE claims 5.2 0-60

Just got the latest issue of autoweek in the mail. They have a big
"shootout" with 8 cars. They say they tested a 2SS, but you can tell
from the pics it's a red 1LE. They are very short on details the only
hint of the camaro's performance is on the spec list where they say they
got a 0-60 time of 5.2!

What a junk magazine.

If they tested it on a hot, humid day, 5.2 may be all it was good for. My car is dog-ass slow in the heat but wakes up considerably in cool weather.

I had a truck years ago when I still lived in Vegas, the difference in performance between summer and winter was night and day. Heat is hell on anything mechanical, especially when it's already fighting to stay as cool as possible.

The biggest problem with hot humid air is that the percentage of O2 is greatly reduced compared to cool dry air like most have in fall/winter. The more O2 present, the more fuel that can be burned, and the more power any engine will make. Altitude causes the same reduction in power. You take a cool dry day at sea level, with a big barometer, and you will make much more power.

They pulled at 4.6 with the Mustang GT (420hp standard version) and a 4.8 with the Challenger SRT8 392.

All that matters is we know our cars are faster than both of them, and on a track... Don't even compare our 1LE's to those things. This is good, let people under estimate this car

I can beat 5.2 and I'm an amateur!

I get that magazine too. These people seem to never get times correct vs. any other publication. I just got rid of a 2012 Mustang GT with the Brembo Pkg. The car is no faster than my 1LE.
