SLP Parts Are Here, Need Help (Pics).

I just received my emblems from SLP to replace the front and rear Chevy bowties. Well I'm not sure if I'm supposed to use the the little black piece (bottom piece in the first pic) to cover the hole on the back where the bowtie used to be. If so I think that's stupid because my car's red, why would I want a little black piece on my trunk lid it doesn't make sense. If anyone has any info on this please let me know.

SLP has a blackout kit that they sell. It's what they use on there vehicles. You can do something similar in matte black and place the badge directly on the vinyl. JMO.

That's what I figured because if I didn't do that it'll look stupid with just that piece of black. I was hoping I wouldn't have to do the whole back in black vinyl but we'll see what happens now.

I don't have stripes on mine so I'm not sure, what do you think should I put it on with just this piece or do the whole black vinyl?

I think the black is to give it the retro look. I couldn't find the RS emblem, but this SS emblem had the black around it. It will look good against the red.

I don't know how I'm gonna like it but I'm gonna put them on probably tomorrow, already got the RS pieces on the grill insert and the black piece for the rear. I was going to put them on tonight but I'm going out and it's too cold here anyways so expect updated pics tomorrow!

lol slow down. You are suppose to stick the RS logo to the black pad then remove the bowtie off the back. it is designed to cover up the holes. the black is to help make it stick out. its better if you black out the back then stick the RS there. You can buy the blackout from SLP or on ebay.

I figured that out, I never put the black part on but I'm selling them see my thread in Classifieds, I think it would like 100x's better on a black car or a car with stripes (so they can get that back piece) but I like mine the way it is I think. I put my RS emblem and my Chevy bowtie back on the front.
