Hey Guys,

New to Colorado. New to the forum. New to the Gen 5. NOT so new to the LS series engine. I've been building Oulaw turbo kits with Jeremy Formato for the LSX for a number of years in Florida.

My wife and I saw a 5th Gen meet at Parry's Pizza in Castle Rock a month ago and I figured that most of you would be members here. We took the plunge and purchased a 10' from Medved a few weeks ago. During the winter months, I'll be fabbing a turbo kit for it as well.

Looking to blow all your doors off soon. j/k

Vince

Hello all,

At 108 pages, I feel late to the party... My first post was to check my order status, my second is to say hi to the other "high elevation" Camaro lovers.

I have recently ordered my 2nd Camaro from Dellenbach motors in Fort Collins and was fortunate to get an up-close and personal look at the Hennessey RJT that they sold...

My first Camaro (and car) was a 1991 RS V6 5spd and I drove it until my wallet couldn't take it anymore... A lot has changed since then and now that I have a garage, it was time once again...

I ordered a 2011 2SS/RS in Synergy Green with painted Granite Black Metallic (GM Truck color) Stripes, Sunroof, Hurst, GMPP exhaust, and GBM painted OEM GFX... Should arrive sometime in Sept.

My current (and winter) vehicle is an '02 Suburban with several "upgrades"...

Also, I registered on CCOTR a week ago, and nothing happening there...

Looking forward to getting together once my new ride shows up!!

RMCR did it. They're in Colorado Springs and on this forum. Top notch shop. Also Gm up in Laramie just installed one for Larry, one of the colorado guys.

I've read a lot of good things about RMCR, but Laramie is much closer... at least I have plenty of time to figure this out...

And Mav, thanks... Green is the only way to go for me. That way I can always say that I'm "going green" even at 13mpg in the 'Burb.

I might just do that... as if it isn't torture enough waiting for mine!! 2 weeks at 1100 is killing me, but I'm guessing it has to do with the SGM or the Hurst...

Looking for a powdercoater in the Denver area. Everything on the exterior of the car is yellow (primary) or black (accent), and am doing a full chrome delete. Part of which (and last thing) involves turning the rims/caps/lugs black. I really like the rims already, just want them black.

The car is currently at the paintshop getting stripes done, and part of me thinks that I could just get the rims painted instead. I'm just not sure on the durablilty.

Suggestions?

I am also open to "custom" suggestions to adding yellow accents to the rims in some fashion as well, but I'm not that artistic.

Roadrunner Fabrication off I25 exit 215 (I think). Their powdercoating division does great work and they've got every shade of black you could imagine. They did all the PC work on our custom motorcycle frames and they've yet to chip or scuff.

Kelly is the owner and he'll treat you right.

What is the usual routine when powdercoating rims? I'm assuming I would be responsible for removing the tires and pressure montiors before I take them in, then have them reinstalled at a tire shop afterwards.
