Nitrous and Back axels?
I am wanting to run 100 hp shot of nitrous with magnaflow 2.5" catback exhaust, injen cold air intake and trifecta tune...
Now this can be quite a bit of extra power... i was wondering if this is too much power though... Would thar be too much for my back end? Would my axle bend or break with this much extre hps? |

There are quite a few others running 100 shots on the autos without much issue. Just don't spray off the line, only spray once the car is hooked and moving. I wouldn't spray in between shifts but I know people who do. Maybe some of the auto guys can chime in on that...

If you're concerned about your rear axles, i would take darkness's advice and not spray until you feel you have traction. Don't spray from the line. A few members have sprayed from the line while on drag radials or slicks and their axles have been fine. Having said that though, I wouldn't recommend spraying from the line because if you raise your rpms too much and the car hooks, there is a high chance that an axle gives way. You have to remember that you're racing, and things can happen. If you want to protect yourself as much as possible, don't spray from the line and don't spray between shifts. Get all the safety measures you can for it and have fun knowing you've done the most you can to keep it safe.

A progressive controller would be amazing because you can set it to spray a small shot from the line and add more juice by the time you have traction. If you get it dialed in, you could have a seriously fast car. If anything, at least set the controller to only spray between safe rpms and to not spray during shifts.

ideally, you don't want to spray under 3-3.5k rpm.
