i love this thread. Your SS would beat the V8 Charger just on stock specs shit my V6 can keep up with the undercover V8 Chargers in New Hampshire with little issue the prior guess at around 14 in the 1/4 mile was about spot on for what the state troopers say around here but they did say some states do go for power upgrades based on nothing but excessive budget spending. However everyone is right you won't beat the radio and most troopers in chargers are not car guys despite that popular belief i find most of them dislike being asked about the car while every once in a blue moon you get one that will chat you up in good fun. My advice don't try racing them they'll let you get to a reasonable speed and give you a ticket for the revenue.

it was all in good fun im sure. if i was the cop i would have just laughed and said "have a good night" which is probably why you were expecting to happen.

if i remember correctly the Chargers in NYC are all R/T's. the cops down here in MD are still running Crown Vics. however down in Virginia Beach they are starting to get the new Caprice...which looks pretty mean. granted its a V6...but a 300hp V6 will still get it moving pretty quickly i assume.

Back in the day, I remember a foriegn Dr. going into court and fighting a "Peeling and Squeeling" citation while driving his Boss 302, and being all giddy when it got tossed. No dashcams back then. Should have been reckless op.

Motor Trend did a test and the numbers were- (1) Ford Interceptor 5.3 0-60 13.9 1/4 mile (2) Dodge Charger 5.6 0-60 14.1 1/4 mile. (3) Chevy Caprice 5.7 0-60 14.2 1/4 mile. So in a 1/4 mile you would take him but if someone is thinking about going for it to get away I would reconsider because they would only be a couple car lengths behind the camaro.

Your not getting old there's alot of trolls on here that do nothing but that. I'm known to occasionally make assanine comments on some things i'll admit but there's also that group that makes it their duty in life to be negative.
