Pricing Discounts?
So when is GM actually going to officially announce what discounts they are going to except? I know they said yes to suppliers, but what about employee discount?

I highly doubt we will see discounts during the first year, maybe for the V6, but very unlikely for the V8.

I also was not understanding they have said yes to supplier discounts. I have seen employee discounted prices listed, but not on an official GM web site. I personally am hoping they will allow at least $1000 of the GM card reward points to be used on the price. They cap the Vette at $1000 as well for GM reward points so I think it is reasonble they will do the same for the Camaro.

There has been no official word from GM that suppliers will be honored. Some dealerships have said that if gm honors it they will do the same but GM has not said yes to suppliers discount yet

My understanding is that the ZR1 is the only Chevy that is excluded from supplier pricing. If all the other Vettes offer it, I would have to think the Camaro would to.
I may be wrong, but I thought I remembered Scott saying not to worry about it. Not a confirmation, but not a denial either. |

THIS IS A CAMARO PEOPLE! It's not some rare machine that turns into a robot. The ONLY car excluded from any discount is a ZR1 The malibu had discounts from day one.

DANGIT! Why didn't I select that option?
Back on topic, I think they'll accept discounts from day one, but I'm not an official. - Xanthos

IMO, not a snowball's chance in hell. Why would they? To give away money? They have over 10k ordered with no discounts. Don't expect any discounts until all the 1st allocation is gone IMO. Only way you get a discount is if you, your family, or the guy doing your sister, owns a Chevy dealership.

Well, the 10K ordered so far aren't from day 1 are they? We'll just see when the car comes out.
Doesn't matter to me anyway. I'm going to be waiting a while to get regardless. - Xanthos
