What is with people???

I dont drive my Camaro much. I have only put 2600 miles on it in 3 months and the first 1000 were on the drive home from the dealership. It has a muffler delete so its sounds nice with the LS3. Pink stripes and pink Jake skulls on the side so, yea, I guess it can catch your eye. Maybe its just the people where I live, but every time I take it out I have people staring and gawking like I am driving a 747 through town.

Its not just the ladies either like I had planned. Umm... the dudes point and stare just as much. I have had people turn around and pull into wherever I was parked just so they could get a better look at it. My wife doesn't drive it because she doesn't like the attention... well she says some is good but she can only handle it in small doses. That doesn't bother me at all because it keeps the miles off the car, haha.

Am I the only person experiencing this, or is it normal to pretty much everyone? I'm not sure because it could be that I live in a small city of around 10,000... and out of those 10,000 most of them are old people.

Weird stares

I'm in the same boat! I have gotten several questions what year is it I get everybody staring at me too! I even get a Toyota parts guy to open my car door for me when my hands for full I even get creepy notes I went thru a Wendy's drive thru last damn that's a bad ass ride and had everybody there staring at the window at me. The nice part about it is the cops stopping taggin me like in my old G6 I use to get followed ALOT!
She sure gets enough attention no doubt about it!

I get the same thing in my TBSS also. I was at a drive through last night and the guy at the window was hanging out the window looking around like he lost some money or something... then he says "Oh that's the SS. Thats why its purring like that" lmao. Then he kept hanging out the window as I drove away I guess to get a better look/listen.

Probably the fact that you're in a small town and there aren't many cool cars there, much less Camaros. Might also have something to do with the pink stripes and the fact that a GUY is driving a car with pink stripes. Add it all together and that's quite a gawk-factor!

Enjoy it! As my signature says, "it's ok to stare"!

I know what you mean. I was driving through a parking lot last night and one guy nearly tripped over the curb trying to get a better look. Makes me feel good that people are checking out my ride. I know I was looking at the 10' white camaro with orange stripes that was slowing going by the other way.

this happens all over, even if you do live in a small town. Reletivly speaking, the chance os seeing another camaro are slim, thus people stare and wave and do the this is just haveing one of the best looking car on the planet.

No just saying. Its not all over it. Just the rally stripes and jake's. It is subtle and not WHOA pink. Honestly most people think the stripes are red unless they get all up on my car in good light.

I live in a town of about 5000 people. When I went to test drive mine, the general managers wife called him while I'm discussing figures with him and asked "who is driving bumble bee" haha. Mine stays in the garage most of the time, so people don't really know who it belongs to, and the windows are tinted so you can't really see me, so it's all good.

It's the car ... I've had people chase me across parking lots just to check it out. I had a guy in a Jag chase me across one of the Tampa Bay bridges just to tell me my car was hot ... This car has strange effects on people ... But it's all good, that's one of the reasons we take the time to keep them clean and shiny ...
