Daily drivers with Rims and lowered Camaros

Share the advantages and disadvantages of owning a great looking car with a nice pair of rims and drop car with great stability and performance.

I don't have fancy rims, but my Camaro is sitting a lot lower. Curbs are definitely a problem when parallel parking, as well as parking spaces with the cement block. I find myself being overly careful when parking with curbs near by.

If you have a house with a steep driveway don't do it, made me regret it, now I have ramps I made so I can get my car out of the driveway. Its a Pita

You'll need a low profile jack if you need to get under it for an oil change. I also had an issue getting it on a trailer, ramps were too steep.

All mentioned if conditions like that exist for you. Also ride will get rough or bouncy on really bad roads or badly warped concrete freeways.

Yes also a low jack from pep boys or elsewhere is need for oil. My drop is 1-1/8" in front and the jack just clears.

Went to the Casinos in Biloxi last night. Parking garage is one that goes straight up and levels off right away on each level. Didn't have a problem gettin on the up part, but kept scraping the undercarrage a bit when I the ground leveled off from the upward grade.

Parking turtles, speed bumps, steep driveways..yep I am hating all of them too. Both front quarter flares on speed bumps and one back one on a very steep driveway. Also Avoid car washes with those nice rims. I have 2 that have the paint scratched by centering rails.

:bangdesk:

I have a daily driver V6 and thats why i bought it.

But potholes are a concern if you have bigger rims you have to pay attention , mines are only 22 and i dont feel im desecrating my car like these fools with 26-32's inch rims.

I just flossed mine out a bit cause its only for work. Now if i had an SS id probably go more performance racing rims blah blah blah.

My Camaro gets tons of looks and alot of great remarks, im happy with it.

Other than the ol watch for train tracks and potholes i have no problems as of 3800 miles.
