Did ya know SS production started last week???
Yeah, news to me too since they've been in production since March 16. I went to Van Chevrolet in Kansas City, MO over my lunch to look at the Camaro they have on display. The Camaro was a black 1LT and gorgeous as always. I never get tired of seeing this baby. So I'm standing there looking at it and this genius of a sales person came over and started talking to me. Right off the bat I knew he was full of crap since he told me that this was the only one in the KC area. I said Oh Really? So I must have dreamed about the one I saw last week at a dealership just 10 miles away and also about the one I test drove last week in KCK. And then he dropped the knowledge of all knowledge on me and I quote "Yeah, they just started producing the SS model last week." Wow. I just looked at the guy and said ok, see ya. What a tool.
So for all you members that have posted all the pics of the SS models you've received, we're on to you now. The game is up! You better quit posting those fake pics.

Funny. I got one better. In the summer of 2007 I went in to a Terry Thompson Chevrolet and had a salesman tell me production had started and they had allready sold 2 of them. His exact words were "We can't keep them on the lot" lol THAT I did beleive.

Wow it is amazing how ignorant some of these sales guys are...pick up a computer do some surfing and you will be amazed how much you will learn...actually make it a requirement that they spend at least a week on this forum. This group rocks...

Samething here! I went to Parks Chevrolet in Kernersville, NC to see the 2lt they had....by the way it's for sale I think for 29,500. Back to the story, I was looking at it and this goofball of a salesman approached me and we started conversing. I didn't let him know that I had preordered and I played like it was my first time seeing or hearing about the Camaro. So I told him I wanted a V8 and that's where the bs started. First he told me a base ss would cost me 40k and then he proceeds to tell me that there would be no V8's availible until mid august. What a total bunhole. That's why I am thankful for camaro5 and it's members for keeping us up to date and for preventing certain quack dealers from trying to sell us wooden nickels.

Our salesmen here told me just yesterday that they havent even started production of the SS. I looked at him and told him to go to camaro5.com and look at all the ones that have been delivered.

sounds about like the "product specialsts" that were really just salesman at Capital Chevy in Austin, TX, yesterday... about every other uttering started with "I dont know" lol

At first I was annoyed when the folks at my dealership told me "you probably know more about the camaro than we do." I guess now I should be glad that they actually admit it and don't try to make it up as they go along.
