Got mine finished. Painted rotor hats black. I did buy new caliper bolts at the dealer since they are TTY (torque to yield). What happens is the bolts are actually built to be over torqued so they actually stretch a little. Therefore they are really just a one time use bolt. Many people reuse them but for $4 a bolt it was worth the piece of mind for me. I took mine totally off as I was doing the GTO clutch reservoir and was replacing my brake fluid anyway.

Thanks for the awesome write up, OP. I just got the blue G2 paint, white Chevy decal and red brembo decal. Can't wait till it all gets here and I can do this up. I love saying this: pics after install.

 Thanks to everyone on here... I did mine this past weekend.A word of caution if using wire to hang the calipers from the ceiling make sure the wire is thick enough to hold the calipers for an extended period of time   So here are a few pics of the finished product. Enjoy.. |
