Just the new drivetrain in. I rebuilt the 327 to 365 HP 11.66:1 and pulled the Saginaw and replaced it with completely rebuilt M-21 and Hurst Comp Plus. Looks a bit better under the hood.

My babies. Purchased the first one (white one) in 2006, the second one in 2007. The red one is numbers matching, the white one is not. The red one is trailered, the white one driven. Both are a blast.

1967 Camaro RS

I bought my first Camaro in August of 1967 from John Geer Chevrolet, a 1967 Bolero Red RS, for $3,000. All the money in the bank that I had at that time. Now many years later, like 246,000 miles and two teenage drivers, I still own it. I had it restored a couple of years ago and it looks as good now as it did when I took it off the showroom floor in 1967. Here it is

Wow. There is something very, very special about having the same car you bought new 42 years ago. Beautiful restoration!

Looks great - except for that fuel filter . I had one of those on my '69 at one time. While the car was parked at the body shop the rubber o-rings in the end caps dried out. You can see when the fuel filter will empty if you let the car sit for any length of time. When I fired the engine up to return home, the fuel started pumping out of the filter end caps all over the place. I was lucky because I saw the gas puddle trail on the ground when I backed out of the garage. If I had not seen it, the car would likely have burned to a total loss. :(

Just expressing my concern.

-Mark.

Nice catch on the fuel filter.

Very dangerous. They are worthless unless you have a great fire policy on your car.

Some current pics.

I just registered on this site, been following a while now, finally got a member name. Judging from that you can see i have first gen. as well. I have a 1969 Camaro that i am currently ordering sheet metal, chrome parts, emblems etc. for paint and body. The drive train consists of a Big Block 468 Chevrolet roughly about 500hp to the wheels, and torque about 600, backed by a TH-350 with a 3400 stall converter, b&m shift kit. The rear-end is a moser 12-bolt with a 3.55 gear, moser axles, and c-clip eliminators. Just a daily driver project i am working, my first muscle car/restoration im only 19 yrs. old. Just stopping by to add to the thread thanks guys!!!!

I've owned my 69 for 19 years now, daily drove year round for 15 years. I built it in high school and have pretty much done all the work myself except the quarters and paint. The car has a correct DZ302 with a M21 behind it that i built myself.

I have a 1968 SS 396 car. Teal blue metalic with delux houndstooth interior. The 396 is long gone but it still has the th400 and 12 bolt. Engine now is 512 cubes and it runs REALLY well
