Exhaust too loud for track?

I have already paid to go to Track Night in America at Lime Rock park in CT. The I found out that there is a sound rule. Your car has to be under 86db at 50 feet away. I have long tube headers, high flow cats and solo performance mach X catback. Do you think I will have a problem?

If so, any ideas on the best easy way to quiet it down enough?

I would say yes.. if I had to guess most camaro’s with aftermarket exhausts at 50ft away would be about 90-100db?I know a lawn mower from 100ft away is around 65-70db

Yep, you're probably screwed. I have Solo's Mach XL catback with long tubes and cats which has minimally more muffling than their Mach X. If you're only idling you'll probably be fine, but if there's much or any throttle you're done for.

Yeah. I figured it wouldnt be good. I emailed the them to see if I could get a refund for the track event and bought a cheap db meter on Amazon. I will keep you posted on how loud it is.

Do they officially test it?
If so, what are the parameters of the test?

I haven't been there yet but, from what I have read, believe there is someone in a booth 50 feet from the track measuring the db. If its over 86 your flagged.

Are you going to Lime Rock? This is a Lime Rock specific rule. Other tracks may have similar though.

If you can't get your money back

Just lift when you go past the sound meter.

Wouldn't do me any good to go there. I have long tube headers high flow cats CAI different TB Dyno tune. Plus I run with my QTP cutouts open.

Not an option. I deal with this out west, and they will flag you if you lift at the sound station.....
