Plus it's only available in a manual trans. A lot of people can't grasp the concept of a clutch.

The Z/28 is a niche vehicle that is very expensive. We're going to see them sell well below MSRP very soon. |

They already are selling below msrp. May deliveries received $2k in incentives.

I am betting in 2015 they will drop like rocks in price. With all new models and such a niche car would seem even MSRP may be too high.

Since the 2015 Z/28 production side of the equation will not be limited by a late start in model year production (as was the 2014 Z/28,) the factory will produce to the +1 side of actual demand in 2015. A +1 production to demand ratio translates to lower pricing for 2015 Z/28's buyers. Ferrari deliberately produces to the -1 side of demand, but they are Ferrari and operate under a different business model than Chevrolet. All of this highlights the higher intrinsic future value of the 2014 Z/28's, but the better purchase value of the 2015 Z/28's. |

When I was at the last autox I parked next to a new z28 for a picture. A couple drivers came by and started looking the cars over. Over all they came to the realization that it is a great car but not twice the car as the 1le as the price tag would indicate.

I'm not sure you see prices fall like a rock. There's a lot of tech in this car, just not a large market of trackers. I'm not sure why you'd buy a car with no noise canceling, no a/c (in some cases) and a stiff ride unless you use it to its potential.
I also don't necessarily think it's overpriced. I think GM has already sold enough models that they're ok with the results. |

This car is not the car for someone who needs to wait till it can be had for a couple of grand below msrp. Track rats know what I'm talking about.

Let's get honest, these are toys. The Z/28 comes with batteries, and the 1LE is "batteries not included".
Just kidding of course, the reason I'm a Z/28 buyer is because I can afford it. Simple as that. BUT... Mark Christopher blew my whole theory to hell by not selling at their advertised internet price. If lots of dealers are pulling the same game, then that explains why there are even low SN ones available. A lot of people (me included) don't pay over MSRP, ever. Not for a toy, even if it does come with batteries.

Beautiful car
I know you are still upset at them (Mark Christopher) and understand why. I went there for an oil change today and saw the white Z/28. It has A/C and radio. I did the walk-around of the car before sitting in it and starting it up. Nice rumble, it definitely has a different tone to it compared to my ZL1. Told them what to do with the "markup". Gave me a line about having to talk to the GM. 10 mins later he returned and said the GM would sell it for MSRP. I am so tempted but still have my ZL1 with Pedders suspension. It's all your fault Mc Rat for mentioning they had one!
