Its funny that we swapped sizes, i was at 20 and 19 inches- while you where running 22s. But now its switched, I'm running the 22s now lol. They look great tho! I bet you felt a difference right away.

When you place an order with Tony, the offsets will be on the receipt. They are not shared publicly.

I'm not getting how you came up with a 20MM stagger with those size Pilots. According to Michelin's info, those tires have a tread width of 11.6 and 10.2 which is almost 25MM difference. Section width is a full inch (28.3MM) on the size rims Taylor has. Am I missing something?

295-275=20

When people talk about tires, 99% of the time they use their advertised sizes (275/35 20 and 295/35 20). The tires advertized size is ALWAYS a little smaller than actual measured width. Oh, and you are looking at the wrong section width. They are actually 10.9 and 11.9, respectively.

I never stated the section width, I quoted the tread width. I made a comparison between the difference of both tread and section width. Still doesn't answer my question based on the tread width numbers.

Oh, I guess your math being wrong is what threw me off. Tread width difference is 1.4" (35.56 mm) and section width is 1.0" (25.4 mm).

Like I said earlier advertised widths are not EXACTLY what the measured widths are. So most people go by the advertised widths like Whiteside did in this thread. Since tires are all different, if tires were named by the actual measured sizes then it would be a lot harder for the average consumer to shop for tires.
The front's actual widths are 10.2" (259.08 mm) and 10.9" (276.86 mm)
The rear's actual widths are 10.5" (266.7 mm) and 11.9" (302.26 mm)
Neither of them is exactly 275 or 295. You can do this with any tire.
I had 335s on the back of my car, the tread width was actually 12.6" (320 mm) and the section width was 13.5" (342 mm). You see neither of them was actually 335 mm.

I don't see what the big deal is, it's like arguing why a 28" slick is actually 28.7" tall or something.

Oh geez yeah that was off. Sorry, been looking at and comparing so many tires trying to find something that will get me what I want.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding Whiteside's statement about the 20MM stagger. I read it as difference in tread width since he mentioned understeer. He must be talking about the height difference? I know the front and rear heights are different on that combo by 1/2". If he's not, then I still don't see in the width measurement where the 20MM comes into play with this tire combination.

I'm sure the answer is NO, but any chance that 295/35 or 295/30 would work up front without issues?

So I auto crossed today... it was so so so much fun! It was my first time but by the end of the day I had a run of 41.5, which was pretty good for my first time. One of the other Camaro guys with us got a 40.2, or around that time, which was the best of the day for our group. He's been many times so he is pretty experienced. I think without these tires I would not have gotten that good of times. Most of the cars tires squealed as the took the corners, mine made no noise. They really stick to the road.

You would have to have the perfect offset. I was going to run 295/35 on my 18x10 all the way around, but I found a killer deal on some 285s instead.

Thanks for the response. Please check out my thread here regarding Michelin tire sizes: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=221710

I'd greatly appreciate your opinion.
