I don't really like giving rides to friends and co-workers...it leads to the next question...
"Can I drive it?"
F NO!

Took my six year old nephew riding about 2 months after I got my SS.

We leave the house and get on the road and I start driving towards town.

My nephew goes: "Uncle B, can this thing go fast?"

I grinned and punched it while I was in 3rd. I let it get up to about 75 or 80 and then quickly let off and slow down. I glance over over in the backseat to see his reaction... His mouth and eyes are opened wide and he is silent... A second or two passes and then he goes: "WHOA!!! I've never ridden in a real race car before!"

My wife doesn't ride in my car very often. However, it always starts the same please take easy. We live on a two lane rural rode so, i say ok. We shortly turn on to the four lane highway were I do a quick ,1st 2nd, 3rd punch . Once i let off and the color comes back to her face, she is literally scared . I get the I could kill you dumbass death stare. lol. It never gets old, my 5 yr old son especially enjoys laughing at her. 600 hp to the tire will do that to some people, i guess.lol.

Awww, I think it's kind of fun (and I'll add 'relatives' to your list ).

It's more fun when the "Can I drive it" request precedes the ride you give them.

It's a lot more fun when they've never ridden with you before and don't have any idea what to expect even when they've had older V8 Camaros, Mustangs and Challengers of their own.

The aftermath is better still.

My gf is scared of cars, she wrecks too much. I usually warn her when Im about to do something stupid and tell her to hang on. She is OK with the fast driving, its the late breaking or last second lane change that bothers her LOL

You guys ever tell your passenger to reach under their seat to grab the CD case then tap your brakes so they hit their head on the dashboard?

so my grandma 77 years old asked for a ride over the summer... when i left my mom said dont go too fast... when we finally got in the car i was driving around getting up to 4-5k rpms but not flooring it at all... i saw that my grandma was having a blast... so i stopped at a stop sign and turn competition mode on... told my grandma to trust me and sit back... opened her up as much as a i could getting to about 90mph when we slowed down i looked over at my grandma and all she had was a HUGE smile on her face saying ONE MORE TIME!!! i have never laughed so hard in my life!

The smoother you can do your hard driving and the better you can hold to a proper "racing line" through the turns, the more hard driving you can get away with doing.

And the more consistently that your driving is/remains "hard", the less necessary it becomes to ever mention what's about to happen. Short of left-right-left slalom-type maneuvers that toss everybody's head from side to side, neither my wife nor our kids (ages 37 & 41) nor even their kids (15 down to 7) even bat an eye at 5, maybe 6/10ths driving as long as it isn't brought on too "abruptly".

I had some coworkers in my car last week, the one in the back loved the rumble she could feel, especially slowing down.

I let my boyfriend drive it on the weekends, I love being a passenger, can really feel that push back into the seat when he gets her going. He's a more aggressive driver than I am, so it's a bit of a different experience, he'll blow through a tank of gas just driving around the city on a Saturday.....

Yeah, I'm just furious. I just killed a chipmunk because of it.
And who says I don't own a Camaro? Maybe I haven't updated my profile.

I took my 20 year old son for a ride. As I got on the freeway ramp, I gunned it.

I looked over at him and saw his mouth move, but no words were able to escape the inertia until I slowed down a bit.

All he said after that was "WHOOOAAAAA"... with a big smile on his face.
