Who here tracks their 1LE?

I'm trying to get data to see just how many 1LE owners track their car, I mean there was a reason you chose it over the SS right?

Admittedly I own a 5.0, but have respect for anything fast!

If you don't take your 1LE on the track at least once you are missing out on what this car was designed for. Friends always ask to go for a ride, but to truly appreciate the 1LE you need to drive it, so I let them drive (the people I trust ).

We have not tracked ours yet, but hope to soon. Even if I had no intentions on going to the track, the choice for the 1LE is a no brainer in my opinion. It handles so much better than a standard SS, and does it for such a low price, I can not imagine owning a Camaro and not selecting this package.

If you can do an autocross once, you'll find out for sure what she can do.

We bought ours specifically to autocross. We ran the Camaro Cross track last year in our 2011 just to help dry the track, and we were hooked instantly. Saved our pennies and our first autocross in the 1LE happened in May. Only had 500 miles on the car. I was amazed at what it could do. Ran another a few weeks ago and pushed myself and the car harder. I think I let up before the car did. Next runs are next weekend at Super Chevy Show here in St Louis. This car does exactly what they said it would and much, much more. Big tracks will be on the calendar for next year no doubt.

Same here. 1 or so track days per year, but a lot of auto-crossing.

I have not yet...but will eventually. Probably just some SCCA Autocross stuff. Nothing too crazy.

I raced dirt Late Model stock cars for 17 years...spent way too much money and time fixing tore up racecars. Just want to play and have fun without the expense and time of fixing damage!

I'm buying it because it looks awesome above and beyond a standard SS. Plus for what you get for 3,500 bucks every SS buyer should check that box. Just saying! It's not for everyone but damn that's a steel for the mods you get and the increased performance.

If you guys have any vids that would be awesome.
How do you guys do against the competition, M3, Corvettes, 5.0, Boss, Evo, STi, s2000, the usual cars getting tracked?

Apparently money is no object to you two. Everyone would check every box on an options sheet if money weren't a factor. For $3,500 more, the 1LE is probably a good valued package but certainly not necessary compared to the standard SS. In fact, most of the differences are aesthetic rather than completely functional with only one reasonably useful performance difference.

If I had that money, sure, but 3.5k now is a 10k down payment on my next car if invested properly.

Funny man, I didn't even read your post and I said the same thing! It's a must for the price!
