Since Bigfoot brought it up earlier.
It's not a cheap conversion because it will require ~ 30% more fuel so bigger pump(s) and injectors are needed which can get expensive. BUT, it's worth it!!

Went to The company they advertised turbo blue .But had to order it.
But had Sunoco racing fuel that was unleaded she said 110 octane.
Up to 118 octane leaded.
6.49 a gallon for 110.
So you guys that are doing e85 and meth ,Do you have a built motor
To hold up?

Why would you need a built motor for e85 and meth. You do understand it's safer to run than pump gas right?

I just figure with all that Octane and boost would cause complications.
I am not that knowledgeable on e85 and Meth
So I been reading a lot and asking .

Octane rating is a measure of a fuel's ability to resist 'knock'

The more octane the better, you run into issues with boost and not enough octane, I would never run a boosted motor with pump gas again

In my opinion E-85 is your best options with all the stations around you.

I offer Flex fuel conversions so your car will run on any mixture of 93 through E85 and automatically self adjust the fueling and spark to optimize on each fuel mixture.

The investment in the fuel system can be large depending on what power level you are at but you get some of that back every time you fill up at 2.00 a gallon.

You need large fuel system and large injectors ad you will use about 30% more liquid fuel compared to pump gas.

We can consult with you and set you up with all the right stuff to do a proper flex fuel conversion with JRE custom tuning if need be.

Ted.

We do not have E85 up here. At least not cheap.
Meth is an option. You knew that already.
But if you want racing fuel, Unleaded Racing fuel that is, we use FUSE.
Up to 125 octane rating.
We even did some testing with some VP C12, C16,etc VS the comparable FUSE Unleaded racing fuel. FUSE made an average of 20-25 more HP and torque. These we tested with engines that made 675 Crank HP to all the way to over 1300 crank HP.
I know it's not a cheap option using racing fuel. I currently run a 50/50 mix of 91 pump gas and Fuse Ignitor 116 for over 2 years now. Car run's very well for what we have in it so far.

if you plan on running a lot of boost I would recommend a built motor. A lot of guys and tuners will claim that the stock bottom end will hold 600+ rwhp. Remember though, the question isn't how much boost will it hold, it's how long will it hold for . In my experience and from watching others that I personally know, the answer is not very long at all on cast pistons and rods.

Also People don't like to post on these forums when they blow up their motors or break their trans. It apparently has become a taboo thing to talk about...

It's possible, but you're still taking an off-chance doing that, so I wouldn't necessarily advise others to do it. Yours may go 20,000 miles and the next guy's may go 2,000 with the same setup/tune. It also depends on your driving style and how much you track the car. If you baby it and don't go to the track much I'm sure the stock engine will last a long time.

At the end of the day a cast piston is a cast piston, and cast piston/rods are not designed to handle a whole lot more than stock power. Yes, the piston technology has advanced but, not enough to where a cast piece will hold up like a forged piece. Plus the rings aren't even gapped correctly for that kind of power. So at the end of the day if someone decides to put that kind of power on the SBE they're just rolling the dice.
