stoping imapla for malibu would be like stoping silverado for s10, i might be a s10 guy,

but that would just not work

Camaro is not going to save GM single handedly. GM needs to prioritize and shed lots of cars that are nothing but burden to the company. Saturan should be let go IMMEDIATELY, especially when the brand will not get any decent cars from Opel to rebadge and sell. Too many trucks/SUV's and they should be rationalized. Buick has still too many models. Chevy and Pontiac should eliminate duplicates such as G5 and Cobalt. Drop Vibe, nobody needs it anyway. Why do they need G8 now when it is significantly pricier than Camaro and does not offer anything in ? Do US buyers really need Aveo? I don't think Impala is necessary, at least, GM does not need to have both G8 and Impala.

The G8 is a sport sedan, people looking to buy it have probably looked at an M3 as well.

The Impala is...not.
They're not close to the same segment at all.

I just hope that the dont have to recall the motors in these cars in the future like the 1.5 million they just announced yesterday for the 1998-1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue, the 1997-2003 Pontiac Grand Prix, 1997-2003 Buick Regal, and the 1998-2003 Chevrolet Lumina, Monte Carlo and Impala.

That damn 3.8 V6 drips oil on the exhaust and can potentially cause a fire!

But hey who hasnt had an old car that drips oil on the exhaust
mines never caught fire.

although i think the impala is ending here soon anyways?
Impala's running in it's current form until 2012 and then going on hiatus.

Impala is currently planned to go on the new Alpha RWD platform. That's the reason for the 2-3 year hiatus.
