I'm in California. I order from American Chevrolet in Modesto.
I know the owner of the dealership and I ask him, what the cost of car is?
He said, I'm selling all the Camaro's at MSRP.
They are taking orders at MSRP with No mark up on the Camaro.
My husband pick up his Camaro on May 9th, that order for him.

Thinking you are going to just stroll into a dealership and buy one right now is crazy, there are well over 10,000 people that pre-ordered and still waiting for their car before you. Maybe in 2-3 months you can do that, but not now.

Search the forum and you will see how others purchased cars that were not pre-ordered, but almost always contacted the dealer before the car came in.

Just wondering, how many Camaros did GM produce so far? and how many Camaros a day do they produce? Any info?

They're probably just Bogarting their pre-orders with the plan of selling them over MSRP once they arrive.

paying 15 over is rediculous your pay for almost two cars. I would wait. Or find a dealer who will do MSRP and just put in an order. either way your going to wait, why not get the car for the its true value.

Good luck finding a 2SS this year.

We ordered ours on 10/13/08, and it goes into production tomorrow. With any luck we will have it by the end of June. If you get really lucky you might find one at a dealer that ordered one under a false name, or had one that got ordered and the buyer cancelled, but if you do it will be way over msrp. Even our dealer who is selling his cars at msrp ( at least the original allotment ) is starting to get excited about the fact that he can get a lot more for his dealer car .....

Remember... the dealers will only ask for as much as people are willing to spend.

I just made an order for the Camaro for $1,000 for everything I wanted and they said when it gets here all I have to pay is MSRP so im GOOD!!!!! Camaro here I come!!!!!!!!
