What an Adventure ...
From trying to be ripped off from one dealer to the next, I finally find a place that would order my ideal Camaro named Sopp Chevrolet in CA. Order the car on May 18th and they give me a 2-3 month waiting date. While they told me that they were going to update me I would ask if they would give me an order number but they would reply "no ... GM has not given us any information on your order yet but they have your order Call back next week for more information if any." I call back next week and its the same excuses not even an event code just GM has my order.
Then I recieve a call a week later confirming my order and he stated "Oh we just wanted to make sure before you put your order in." After that phone call things were fishy so I emailed them and asked where I stood for allocations, whats my order # and event code. He replies saying that I am in 10th place for overall orders and in about a month or a few weeks GM will pull 30 orders. So I gave up on Sopp Chevrolet for stalling with me and feeding me with the nonsense because I knew more than they did from jump start, Why? Because of this great site that kept me informed about the processes that need to be taken to order and recieve a Camaro. They didnt even give me a workbench order or follow any of the regular guidelines of ordering a CAR!!! If it wasn't for this site I would have been a goner. called Camino Real Chevrolet and the dealer is giving me a Black 2SS/RS, Painted Ground Effects, Sunroof and 21" Rims which is basically what I wanted except I dont have CGM, or Rally Stripes but I can come up with my own stripes which is cool but will be picking the car up this Saturday Camino Real dealership has to be the best I have worked with ever. I cant thank them enough but no more waiting for me! Im going to hit the roads and hope to see fellow Camaro5 members on the roads as well. Best believe I will be buying that sticker. Thank you for all the knowlegde and help that you guys have given me and hope you all will enjoy and quickly get your Camaros. Thanks for Reading.
