you guys should make a section that is all about up coming shows and ideas for people so they can look around easier to c wat they can add to their car to make it more their own

HI... I have tried to get the moderators to have an item on the main forum page for event postings. Presently, these are allowed only in regional forums, yet people like to travel and if an event is posted ONLY in it's region, no one else knows about it... would be nice to have full coverage on events!

We already have several areas where people discuss and show off their mods. From the techincal discussions, to car journals, to the picture gallery. Adding something else on top of that would just make things more confusing, in my opinion.

However, having an events section might be handy. Right now, its almost all in the regional sections, which not everyone uses.

The problem there is that there are several events that occur each week around the US and Canada. Many discussion threads are started weeks, if not months in advance. We would quickly end up with dozens, if not hundreds of event discussions in 5th Gen General. With that many, we could never sticky them all, and if they don't get stickied, they'll get burried within a couple days and then nobody will see it. On occasion, we will temporarily move an event which has appeal to a much larger group to the 5th Gen General to help get the word out, but this is done on a strictly case by case basis.

What we recommend is that members check in on the surrounding areas for events that may interest them.

Also remember that we have an events calendar at the bottom of the main forum page that members use to add upcoming events
