Who painted their head covers?

I read that someone has done this and I cant find them. I want to remove the felt off the head covers and paint them. Just want some tips because there is a ton of tabs from all the wires that are clipped to them

Is there any purpose to that felt stuff on the engine??????? I can see no way to get my engine to look good with that felt stuff on & the engine cover off. But is there a disadvantage to removing it & how hard would it be to do?

The only disadvantage I could think of is maybe more noise would come from your engine and maybe it would get a little hotter? Idk

I also think it was ciscobee, but when I look at his profile it just shows a nicely done up engine cover with Bumblebee from transformers, but I think he changed it after that.

Of course...might be wrong

That and the felt shroud behind the engine cover is mainly for sound deadening

I didn't notice any difference today without the engine felt. Of course my car is already loud.

Its what Tracy told me....I'm assuming he was talking about the ticking noise despite how loud it is already
