I agree. I listen to XM and am used to the lower sound quality. When I switch to FM, the sound is so much better. And I only have the standard stereo in my SS. CD's definitely have the best sound. I'm glad they still put cd players in the 2012's.

I am amazed how many members like to listen to crappy compressed music from Pandora in there car. I'm a music guy so I prefer a CD over anything digital. Quality is way better and noticeable IMO. I do pop in my zune player and listen to music, (easier for me. I don't have to be shuffling thru my CDs) but CDs overall is the obsolete choice for me.
Sucks if the Camaros do not have a CD player. I will be in the market to get a new Camaro September. Guess a 2010 will do.

since we are all wanting the best to offer and complaing about no cd, and no DVD, why not take it to the next level and say why no Blu Ray player?

You do realize that a CD is digital, right?

2012 2lt ,,,its nice to have the best of both worlds...the sound quality of a cd is just a little better then mp3 out of your phone...the bad is having to depend on your phone to hear music instead of leaving your favorite Mp3 cd in the car....

Still not fond of the "jugs" on the stero and with GM wanting 2K to install one, I went with the pioneer (which can also play cd's and DVD's). Plus it doesnt stick out so far...yes, cd and dvd formats are going away but I still have a ton of cd's I would like to get some more use out of...

I use the highest. It is a shame that it dosn't have a CD player (IMO). Just compair it to say a Nissan Marano with a nav unit CD player Built in hard drive etc. Its sad to me that you pay so much for something and get short changed.

CD's are out & IPod's and phone apps are in. I know if I had the USB & ability to run my IPod & music apps in my car I would. I have probably only used my CD player once in my Camaro, even then I wouldn't be surprised if I haven't used it at all.

Check the DIY section, "I Want A New Radio" 2SSRS (Ofer) is working on it. Keep following that section. Ofer is the God of Mods.
