Help with cold air intake

Which is better, Airaid or new era? Why is one better then the other? I think its about a 200-250 price difference, why? This stuff I am new too. I do know they should give somewhere between 10-20 HP increase. Does this hurt the engine or warranty in any way???

I would save $200 and buy the Texas Speed intake for $299. So far they are all netting the same hp. They wont hurt your warranty. Even if it did somehow break something, keep the stocker and swap it back before you go to the stealership. Please dont spend $500 on a CAI.

I took a good look at the New Era installed on a car last night. It's a sweet setup and looks good too. I have the Hennessey CAI and very happy with it.

The stock set up is not very restrictive at all. It is not the nicest looking thing in the world but paying $500 for making your engine look "pretty" is something I won't do; especially for only a few extra HP.

I think it's under $400. I bought mine when they had the first 50 got $50 off...so I paid $350 for it.

It's a VERY Nice piece and the guys at LMR are amazing to chat with, plus htey have a huge line of other products if you want or desire more.

Not very restrictive relative to the aftermarket CAI's.The stock set-up has nice smooth bends same as the aftermarket piping so little restiction. Air flow is what it is all about. Bottom line for me is that $500 is too much for minimal gains. Save $450 and add a KN filter.

That's a very good point, domano. It's not like you're going to feel 10-15hp difference. But I gotta have something prettier than the stock intake, at a resonable price though.

I'm just not getting it then... I see three 90 airflow changes in the stock box and a very small opening verses zero or one bend on aftermarket CAIs with an exposed filter. The stock setup is to reduce noise and certainly does restrict airflow...

Now if you are comparing bang for buck as far as Horsepower then 400 bucks may be too much for an extra 12 HP. However couple that with better cosmetics and you can count me in...
