Install the CC in a cool place, it will condense better and do what is made to do.

Ted.
There is no need for any Check valve if you use the CC inline of the where the OEM was installed. The OEM did not have a check valve.

Mounting the can seems easy enough but I'm wondering one thing. How the hell can you get close enough to the original little hose that has to be snapped off!!! I guess if you took off that big black round thing and all those little lines running in and out of it and maybe took the belt off it would not be as difficult, but everybody says its real simple and takes an hour or less. I guess I just want to clarify this : You can install a Rx catch can with a flathead screwdriver and a socket wrench(used to install the can on the bracket and the bracket on the car). Just using the supplied hose(that you cut in half) and all you have to do is take the engine cover off. Is this correct? Even if you can get the little connecting hose off( with only touching it with a flathead screwdriver) how can you get the two new hoses back on!! I'm not a mechanic, so I've only got your basic tools laying around. I don't have a foot long pair of needle nose pliers!!! I might could reach it if I did.LOL!! I know I'm going to get slammed for asking this but that little connecting hose just looks a little hard to get to. Unless you've got the hands of a new born baby. Thanks for clarifying this for me along with any help anyone can give me!!!
Small hands definitely make it easier. I used a flat head screwdriver to help get the old hoses off, and used hose clamps to attach the new hoses. I don't see how you could reattach the new hoses without hose clamps.... there just isn't enough room to push the hoses over the lip on each of the nipples.

Yes you can. I just pushed the hoses on with a screw driver. It was a very tight fit so I did not use hose clamps. The hose does not go over the lip. The lip is to hold the clip on the OEM tube.

Well, that being the case, the hoses that came with my RX Catch Can did not fit tightly on the hose nipples. At least, not tight enough that I felt comfortable that they would not come off easily. With the hose clamps, I don't have to worry about it. I guess I may have gotten the wrong sized hoses with my kit.

The hose should be a tight fit, your hose may be bigger. The hose I used was 3/8s

I would say the way the first post mounted the CC may in time break that radiator mount in time with vibration. It's all plastic where it is mounted to.

Ted.
Ted, he has it wrong if he is referring to the engine. The bottom is the dirty air out to CC and the top is to the inlet suction side of the blower. But he may be thinking that for the CC

Here is a better way to mount the catch can using the original parts you get from RX. Mount it on the frame just behind the radiator. There is a threaded hole already that is the size of the bolt supplied by RX in the frame area. All you need to do is straighten out the mounting bar to just the L angle only. It stays cooler there also. Then run your hoses. If you run the hoses correctly they are almost not seen at all.

The large washer on the bolt I used to mount it effectively spreads more of the force evenly across the mounting surface, as well as adds some additional support. I have raced this car and daily driven it going on 4k miles now. I am 100% confident this mounting location is stable.

Also, yes, I did not put clamps on the hose ends, they were all a very tight fit and they aren't going anywhere.

tnspd,

That is exactly where I want to mount mine but was still trying to figure out the best way to do it. Do you have a pic of bolt hole / mounting location on the frame?

Great Job!
