Seat belt tension

Is anyone else have problems with the tension of the seat belt? I know the benefits of not having slack in the belt for injury prevention, but this is the first car I've had that the belt tension is actually getting uncomfortable. In my 4th gen, the belt was comfortable while not having slack, but in my 5th gen, the belt feels like it gets tighter and tighter as I drive (not locking though). It gets to the point where I'm driving down the road and holding it off my shoulder due to the discomfort.

Anyone know a way to release some of the tension? I don't want it hanging loose, just not as tight when it retracts.

Thanks!

The tension is just fine. I think what you are finding uncomfy and annoying is the lack of belt height adjustment. The belt has the tendency to rest against the side of your my neck and it becomes uncomfy over time. That is what I find annoying. I need to get one of those belt guard thingies.

Yep...its not the tension, but the position that annoys me. One thing the Camaro is missing is the ability to lower or raise the belt where it connects behind the door. I constantly find myself moving the belt b/c its rubbing my neck.

Maybe raising my seat height would help some, but doubt it would help very much. Guess I need to invest in some kind of seat belt cushion thingy!

Raising the seat probably won't help since the strap holding the seat belt is attached to the seat. I bought a seat belt adjuster and it works pretty well, http://www.amazon.com/Heininger-Auto...7807860&sr=8-1.

So, has anyone been able to make adjustments to the belt to make it more comfortable? I've moved my seat all around but it's not helping.

Thanks.
