Cool. What do you plan on doing to that convert?

That amp basically covers the whole mounting board that Steve sells.

If you are going to run a sub, it seems kind of pointless to me to try to fit that bigger amp in the stock location. Mount it near the sub or on the sub box and show it off.

I have to agree with you. the stock amp is pretty small. I mounted my PDX-5 on a ******** amp rack. Looks good but you do lose some of the passenger side of the trunk.

It's a vert so I already have a sub. Not interested in putting a sub box in the trunk. I need all the space I can get.

I did a search and there is a member here that mounted the XD700 on Steve's board in the stock location. I have a PM into him regarding the setup.

Funk,
Check your messages. Response is there.
XD700 is a great amp. Small and powerful. Also do not need a separate amp for the sub.

I just installed a XD700/5 in the stock location using the ******** mounting board and FARK cables. Waiting on delivery of a JL Audio 12W3v3-2 Subwoofer to add to the setup.

I didn't know about this one and I like the price better than the JL. Thanks for the heads up.

I guess I could add the Alpine MRX-V60 to the list also. 10-3/4"W x 2-5/16"H x 9-1/16"D or the Alpine PDX5 10-3/16"W x 2-1/2"H x 8-3/8"D

you can always do a 3 channel amp. with good components and a good sub, the rear 6x9s are not needed. but you would however lose your backup sensors' audio.

It's a convert so I don't have to worry about the 6x9's.
