I still don't understand why people bitch so much about the Goodyear Supercar tires. Not to mention most have a different opinion every time they talk about them. I've seen magazines call them great tires in a Corvette review but stone hard when running the new GT500.

$253.98 each here. http://www.onlinetires.com/products/...+100y+vsb.html

Shipping is $25/tire.

As I'm in Phoenix and it's been hot, I've had no problems whatsoever with the tires, including in the rain.

Well on Monday, I thought I was going to have to replace a tire and they were $267 then, so they actually went down I think. But, from what I've seen, they usually have the lowest price even with shipping.

got 14,000 miles out of mine with hard driving. very sticky in warm weather and useless in the cold. I was not happy about the wet traction. Although pricey i'll be upgrading to the michelin pilot super sports within the next 2 weeks.

Is there an exact size fit with the Pilots? That's what I was thinking too.

I was at my local Chevy service department and saw this posted on the service desks for all customers to read.

I know that they are summer tires, but this actually says that if the temperature is below 20 degrees... do not move the car or else your tires will crack!!!

It went on to say that they are not safe for driving in heavy rain or standing water.

So .... looks like a tire change will be in order for my dd.

Although the cracking part is something abnormal it's a shame that you have to outright explain what summer only means.

I'm in FL, so we rarely see 20* either, but we do get heavy rains almost daily in the summer.

I got caught today in a heavy downpour with my 7yo with me. There were definitely some white-knuckle moments.... more so than I expected.

Still love my car though.... just gonna have to work within it's capabilities.

You would think though, you would only have to worry about traction, not tread cracking. I will be replacing mine with something else. Although once warm the Goodyears are awesome. The rest of the time time not so much. I hope I can get close to the good behavior with replacement tires.

Try Nitto 555. they still have great performance, but have a water diffusion built into the tread. its what i ran on my '02 SLP.

The problem you will run into is there aren't many choices in this tire size. Almost all are comparable in performance wear and price to the G2's (michelin, pirelli, etc). Nitto does not make a tire in this size.
