Camaro - Models by year help.

Hi Everyone

To further assist present and future customers we were looking for the best place to get a breakdown of the Chevrolet Camaro 5th Gen and onwards.

Specifically a list that mentions:
Model - Submodel(for example RSetc.) - Build Date (Month/Year) - Build End (Month/Year) - Motor code (for example LLT LFX etc)

Is there a list out there for the V6 Camaro range? Thanks for your help.

Kind Regards

Bill.

All 2010 & 2011 LS1's, LS2's, LT1's, and LT2's use the LLT motor, regardless of submodel...

All 2012 and up models in the same designations use the LFX...

Is that what you are after, or am I missing something here?

I don't understand the build date information. Why would you care about specific build dates for each model / submodel combination...

There's no LS1, LS2, LT1, and LT2 trims

The trims are 1LS, 2LS, 1LT, and 2LT. LS1, LS2, and LT1 are engines themselves.

Forgive my syntax.

And I believe in 2010 and 2011 there was just an LS model, no 1 or 2 version.
Might have started in late production 2011 or for 2012 1LS and 2LS.

That is true, mine is a straight LS. Don't think there is any gearing difference in the 2010 LS, and LT models only the 2011+ 1LS and 2LS+ models.

I think he may be looking for a bit more than that but:

2010: LS, 1LT, 2LT all with 3.27 gearing. 312HP/278TQ LLT engine.
2011: 1LS (manual with 3.27), 2LS (auto with 2.92), 1LT and 2LT with 3.27. Same horsepower. LLT engine.
2012 and up: Same as 2011 but with the newer LFX engine. 323HP / 278TQ.

Nice, thanks for confirming my qualitative assessment with quantitative numbers!

The only thing I'd add (as AlohaBR alluded to above) is that the 2LS model addition to the LS trim level was late in the 2011 MY run, so for part (most?) of that MY there was still only the 1LS.

I have a RP6 ,1LS. That was the designation for the trim level. It was never an LS.
And to the original poster, why didn't you contact me when Jay was posting under your name , spewing forth the posts in which had his personal account on here banned? He had three intakes left , that he ported , and lied and told each one of us that contacted him, that we each "got the last one" and to send him a check for two hundred dollars as a deposit, made out to blank. He had a problem using PayPal , so we couldn't use it. I think you know what the problem was, or should have, with PayPal . I did contact the other two with whom he had told that they had the " last one" and kept the private messages , which I can post to what I sent. I can remove their usernames as it was a private message to each inquiring what Jay had told me and if it was the same story to them. He was not honest in his communication , as there were three left. We had to send out the payment immediately to get the last one. I felt uncomfortable with communication with a G-mail account and sending a check with no ones name on it, that he had problems doing business with PayPal , also after reading that two other members post that they had been told that they got the last intake. While quite a bit of time has past since this occurance, I don't forget being disrespected in both private messages, and on the forum. Mace's silence has always made me question how your expectations of posting decorum .
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...=229949&page=3 Of course the inflammatory posts made by Jay, and others who were trying to provoke him, were removed and it makes no sense now when you read the thread.

My apologies, you are of course correct.

Despite media coverage in 2010 (and subsequent coverage here on C5) describing the pre-2LS base model only as an "LS," the order book clearly shows the LS as a trim level, with the only model in that trim being the 1LS.
I will correct my post accordingly.

It is just a guess, I think that it may have been referred as a LS on the board , instead of a 1LS, because there was only one model unlike the two LT models.
