Used contractor grade velcro on a universal holster. Doesn't get in the way of shifting or even touch my leg, but yet easy access in and out.

And yes thats a .45 1911 with stingray grips I call her the widowmaker

I'll take accessibility over discrete. My problem is I always forget to bring mine and don't follow the first rule of a gun fight.

To each his own but I agree not a good placement and not all that inventive. Lots of members have nice guns. .....

i dont know where you reside... but even in texas your weapon has to be kept out of plain view.
