Well, FWD yes, thats true. But if you can get past that, the engine will sound about the same and whatnot - its the same engine but with PFI instead of GDI...

I heard it

Sounds like a Honda Accord, not saying thats a bad thing though

and to me The best damn sounding V6 that GM has is the 3800 series

has anyone heard an Impala accelerate, even the LS trim they sound great

Cool, thanks for the suggestions. I guess I'll try the G8, cause being 18 I don't think they will let be in the Caddy lol.

The only problem with the G6 is that it's gone so long without a refresh or a redesign. Other than that, it's a perfectly good car, and it sells pretty well too.

The G6 may be to some people a "pos", but hey its a cheap, quality car. ^and yeah it could use a little update of some sort.

Wasn't it introduced in 2004 as a 2005 model . . ? Thats not that long ago, at least for GM's refresh cycle. Sure its not exactly brand new, but its not that old either. I'd say its due for a refresh either next year or the year after.

i doubt it would sound much like an Accord, dont get me wrong i hav a v6 accord and beleive it or not get a handfull of complemets on it. i have full exhaust minus headers (magnaflow mufflers). it sounds deep kind of G35 ish but louder (gruntier). however with the larger displacment i think the camaro would have more of that muscle car sound u get out of say a beefed up mustang v6..... jus my thought.

We've seen pictures of a refreshed model, and it's pathetic. They stuck the G8's grille on, changed the foglamps, and called it a day. The radio's still the same as the one on my '07 Malibu when every other GM vehicle transitioned over to the new GM switchgear in 2008. From what we've heard, the G6 will stay the way it is without a major redesign until 2012, giving it a massive lifespan of 8 years since introduction.

Well yesterday I had a chance to stop by the dealer and they had a couple of CTS's on the lot. Was talking to them and asked if I could just check the engine out and they took me out and let me start it up. Didn't take it out for a drive but the engine revved real smoothly. Window sticker showed 26MPG on the highway. Looking forward to seeing this thing in the Camaro.
