I think you need to budget for 12k-20k max on the tires. I have done alot of research on the tires and if you keep the P-Zero's on it that will be about it.

Yeah I plan on keeping them. And I plan on wearing them out before I replace them.

I saw 23.0 cruising for 50 miles at 78mph. At 70 I saw around 25.5ish.

Just thought I'd throw that out there.

the sensors in your car actually knowing the amount of fuel its sending to the engine i think would be more accurate than rough math. factor in idle time also.

heres mine

It's actually common practice for the computer not to know exactly how much fuel is flowing. It knows fuel injector duty cycle, it knows air flow, and it knows O2 sensor readings and adjusts fuel injector duty cycle based on those things. It just turns the injectors on for longer to put in more fuel, it doesn't actually measure how much fuel is going. I'm not saying that the Camaro's doesn't know, but AFAIK most cars don't.

Then there's the question of exactly what data the DIC is using for its calculations, too.

Not too bad!

Definately not LS1 mileage, but still good none the less.

I took a 400 mile interstate trip with the cruise set at 70mph the day I bought my LS1 Trans Am 6 speed and I got 31.xx MPG that tank. Needless to say I was amazed and VERY happy lol.

But another 100 hp and a bigger car overall 25mpg at 70 isn't too bad

Drag coefficient .33 (vs. 2010 Camaro SS at .35 and V6 at .36), less frontal area, and probably the T56 with a .5:1 6th gear == high MPG.

My 95 with the A4 GU5 still gets 24-25 freeway when I calculate it. The computer in the corvette (MN6 ls3) says i'm getting 31 on level ground at 70 mph. thats with z51 and 3.42 gear. I was hoping the new camaro was going to be close to that.
Thats a drag...

Mileage Reports From Owners

What are you getting for mileage with your new Camaro? I am getting 21 MPG country and small town driving, and 25 MPG Interstate with my 1 SS Auto.
