Our Friends from the Great Country of Canada do an excellent job of making our 5th Gen's. They also make Great Beer and my Crown Royal. I love to drink, But not while I'm driving. Hear's to Canada. See you all at Camaro Fest.

Furthermore...

I am not bashing on the USMC Even though there is rivalry among the four branches of the US Forces, I am ashamed and surprised that this happened in 1992. Somewhere before they marched on to the field, someone should have caught this. I totaled my 91 Tercel in British Columbia in 1994. That is where I got my affection for the majority of Canadians from. They helped us out from taking us from the accident scene, to a convenience store where we used a phone, and then we were transported 50 miles in one ambulance, and then transported the remaining 50 miles in another ambulance that met us. My friend had blood in her eyeball, and we asked the doctor there at the hospital about it, and he stated that he did not care about his fee, and for us to come in immediately so he could check it out.
I just wish there weren't so many ignorant people in this world. They're every where!!!

"We're not worthy. We're scum. We suck!!!"

The RS and SS emblems are made in S Korea.

Canada is like our slow cousin, still part of the family! Made in America!

I was disappointed too, but this is a global economy now. If GM didn't participate in trade, the Camaro would probably cost way more. Plus with NAFTA it made it easier for GM to conduct business in North America period.

There is so much 'foreign' involvement in this car, it's hilarious.

That being said, I don't love my Camaro any less because it wasn't built right here at home. Far more pressing concerns than that for me.

Highly disappointing even if GM is bringing the Gen 6 back to America. How the hell do you have a pure American muscle icon assembled in another country? Makes me sick.
GM's been operating plants in Canada for over five decades.

get over it

No, it's not a point really. Your jingoism has nothing to do with the country the car manufacturer is in.

The point of manufacture doesn't determine the nationality of the car or the nationality car company that built it. This should be an obvious thing. Is a Camry an American car, or a Japanese car? Is Georgetown KY suddenly part of japan now? if I took apart a car made in japan, shipped all the parts to the USA, and then reassembled it, it the car now an American car?

Saying that the new Camaro isn't an "American" car is just looking for something to complain about. "Rah rah USA" is getting boring
