2010 Camaro video-offroad comparison

With all the talk of exhaust,I have decided to repost this video compilation .

Here is a 2010 Camaro with an automatic transmission and the l99 with adm offroad downpipes installed. In the first video you can see the factory HUGE resonator still installed as well as the second video retaining the stock mufflers.

There is a noticeable difference in the 2 comparisons, due infact that the automatic cars essentially have 3 mufflers and 4 cats.

Here is the 2010 Camaro 6 speed manual with adm offroad downpipes and stock exhaust as well as the stock resonators.

I posted elsewhere on the forum that the real restriction in the factory exhaust system is the four CATS located in the downpipes. Not to say there isn't some restriction in the resonators but minimul. And as your cutout of the factory muffler shows, in another post, is that the mufflers are relatively non restrictive. And the 6spd tranny exhaust is different from the Auto Tranny in the resonator. CATS and mufflers are the same with both trannies. I hope this dyno tested info will help some to know where to go in the exhaust to get real HP gains. Also, the factory mufflers look like crap!! ADM Perf can jump in here if I am missing something regarding the exhaust.

I'm kinda' wondering if, and when, Random Technologies could/might come out with replacement cats', just one per side. I'm sure that would clean-up some restriction.

In the past I was always under the assumption the cats' we somewhat "good" flowing. Apparently, they aren't, and to compound the problem, having four probably doesn't help in these matter. That sucks for those of us that are going to be bound to keeping them on the car...

We have cats that have not been tested yet on the LS3/L99 Camaro.Maybe someone will opt for some and they can see how well they do.

Given the extra cats and mufflers, will the L99 pass a state inspection (TX) with the ADM downpipes installed?

Do not think they will pass as there are no CATS. They are intended for off road, not street driven. I will defer to ADM for the final word.
