Actually I didn't ask on here for dealers with stock. Might have been a good idea to do, but a little late now. I had to put down a $1000 non-refundable deposit on my custom order at my dealer...[/QUOTE]

Why did your dealer make you put down $1000 and why is it non - refundable ??

Sounds like you need to go to a different dealer IMHO.

There are so many dealers on this forum that go under MSRP in your area.

No clue why there is a deposit, and why it's non-refundable. But it's already done. Not much I can do about it now. As for dealers in the area, there aren't to many around here, and I checked many if them, this was the only one that quoted me at least MSRP. everyone else was $2k to $7k over MSRP. I didn't get any "deals" but at least I wasn't ripped off.

Tekkguy,

Sounds like you and I will be getting our cars around the same time. You should be getting a TPW date from your dealer shortly. From there its just a short time frame.

thats soo wrong for this car....when are these dealerships going to stop with this over sticker BS

There is no more demand for the vehicle!! Its winter time! and from what my dealership told me they are coming out of the factory faster than ever. Plus if a dealership has camaro's stocked I don't understand how there is a supply and demand issue.

That's what I say! My dealer had 3 in stock with the specs I wanted, but wrong color. <Shrug> I figured, if I am spending so much, I should get what I want and not settle just so I could get the car right now.

Absolutely! Buying a car is a very important decision, its a life changing desicion, you should be happy making it. I hate dealerships that are just giving GM a bad name.

Ok, I just got a status update where nothing changed except the "Notes" section. It says 1/25/2010... What does that mean? Is that my estimated production date?

Wish I had your TPW date. Hehehe But I'll take what I can get. So if I am really lucky, maybe I can get my car at the end of Feb...

Ugh...the wait is killing me...

I hear ya, but it will give me time to clean the garage and wait out the rest of winter. Should be able to drive it on regular basis in April or May. I just can’t see driving it on wet sanded/salted roads until then. So I’ll be in the garage drinking beer showing to friends that stop by and telling them no we are not taking it out until then lol.
