Locking Gas Cap

Where can I get a locking gas cap? When I google search it, I can't find any specifically made for Camaro's, so how would I know if it fits? Is a universal size?

Thanks!

NAPA $8. Just tell them you want a locking gas cap for your 2010 (or whatever year yours is) Camaro. They will pull up the part number and get it for you.

Forget the other suggestions. Go with this:

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=194569

I have it, it's licensed from GM, and - this is the best part - your own key is used to unlock it! You don't need to carry additional keys. And it can be tethered to the car just like the original gas cap - and your dealer can make it work with your key. I bought the gas cap and had the dealer make my key work with it, for a total of $30. Not bad.

No prob. Just take the part # down to your dealership and have them place the order, with the understanding that they will make the lock work with your key.

So, I just got back from the dealership and they don't make this locking gas cap anymore. The guy tried to steer me away from locking gas caps in general saying that all of them are easy to pop off and don't have a good track record of sealing properly. He suggested I look into a locking gas door. Any thoughts?

They are still being made. Google gm 22790846 and numerous websites come up with them in stock. Costs $13-$14 plus shipping.

You can also go with a Stant locking gas cap. You want product number 10504 and cost about $15.

They do list this # as a locking cap,but for some odd reason it's under 'export'

Yup this is a good part number. And it is listed as Export at most dealer parts counters.
Just tell them to check stock at the warehouse. Once they see they are in stock, they will order it for you.
Just got mine yesterday, and wrote a DIY today when I assembled it.
Its a whoooooole lot cheaper than the locking gas door too.
