304 ss or 409 ss catback

Looking to replace my factory exhaust with a catback but not sure if I really need the 304 ss since nobody will be seeing it. When it comes time for headers I'll get the 304. What are the opinions from camaro5 guys. Thanks a lot

Actually 409 Does Rust and turn brown but will outlast mild steel 3 to 1.

304 Will Not rust and if it does it is not real 304 beware of Chinese 304 is Rusts.

What was posted above is correct. The stock stuff is actually 409 stainless. That is why I am always amazed when somone replaces their stainless stock exhaust with something mild steel.

But does it matter if the exhaust is 304 or 409. The car only gets driven in nice weather not even rain.
Thanks for the replies.

Thanks for the replies.
It only matters to you and how you will use your car and what you feel is appropriate for a 40K car.
