Anyone using ARH LT's with SLP LM II?
The set up I'd like to try:
ARH 1 7/8's w/cats, x pipe, SLP Loud Mouth II - axle back and the bullet mufflers in the mid pipes. I like the way the SLP LMII set up sounds, but I'd like to use ARH 1 7/8 LTs. Any suggestions on how to connect the two. Which x-pipe and midpipe to use? One thought I had is using the ARH long set up and cutting/clamping in the SLP bullets into the mid pipes. Or is there an easier way to connect the full SLP cat back set up to the ARH's w/ cats. Would like to do in my garage and avoid a trip to a muffler shop for any welding. Thanks. |

Anyone using ARH LT's with SLP LM II?
Hey Russell,
Thanks for starting the thread !! I am wondering exactly the same thing. My 2SS with the SLP LM II is a A6 and one has to consider the resonators and the drone associated with the automatics. Don't want to have too much cabin noise either. I am seriously planning on detuning the AFM. What tranny do you have?

Mine is a manual shift. I have a friend with an A6 that turned off the AFM and torque management with a handheld tuner. He likes the results.

ARH headers sells a long tube, and x pipe set up that will then allow any axle back exhaust to bolt up to their system. So you would want to purchase the ARH 1" 7/8ths long tube headers, with the catted/off road (your choice) x-pipe, then add a LMII axle back exhaust.
We have a set of used ARH's here at the shop with about 1500 miles on them in perfect condition he is selling used for a great deal if anyone is interested PM me. Or we can also make you an excellent package deal on new longtubes, and SLP exhausts. Good luck, and let us know if we can help Regards |

I know I want that LMII axle back. But I also want the 18" bullet mufflers that SLP uses in their midpipe after the X. It looks like they are using them as resonators.
This is the SLP x and mid pipe I would like to duplicate, except connected to ARH LTs/Cats. http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...21&BIG=30221-1 Wondering if I should try to adapt this whole SLP set up to the ARH LT's/CATS. Or use ARH's long set up and just cut/clamp in the 18"x3" SLP bullet mufflers they are using as resonators into the ARH midpipe. Thanks |
