Who wants to do laps at Atlanta Motor Speedway? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

This is an opportunity of a lifetime guys. I have a relationship with the President of the Corvettes Serving America Foundation and she has extended an invitation to all C5 Camaro owners to join them on October 9th at Atlanta Motor Speedway for CSA 8. This is a benefit to support Breast Cancer Research. They will be selling 5 lap blocks for $25.00 (I'll have to check but I think that is the price). This year it will be UNDER THE LIGHTS at AMS. I need to get an idea of how many will be interested because The President wants to hold track time just for us, so please post your interest as soon as possible. You can go online and read about the charity event and pre- register at www.csafoundation.org If you pre-register make sure to put on there you are driving a fifth gen. Camaro. So respond back to this thread even if you pre-register so we can get a feel for how much track time we need.

Sounds like fun but I'm going to MTI Racing Camaro Funfest on the 10th. Let me know if there is a chance in the future to get some laps in.

I would be interested to participate......track time on the 8th and MTI on the 9th home on Sunday. What a great weekend that will be.

There is an Offical from the track pacing the lap. With that said he maintained 90 MPH and we just hung back and were hitting speeds of 130 - 140. Passing was allowed and let me tell you, if you have never driven on a Super Speedway WOW what a treat. Funny, MTI was at the track last time I was out there. Don't miss this chance Guys and Gals !!!

I have a group of 5 or more caravan from Virginia to Talladega on the 8th. What time on the 9th did you say. Maybe we can work something. But we are attending the MTI event on the 10th. That would be awesome if we could make this work.

The event is from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, that right under the lights. So go to MTI and on the way back join us under the lights.

Just changed our route to include Atlanta Motor Speedway. Boy is that going to be a fullday..

Dragons Tail on the morning of the 9th
Atlanta Motor Speedway under the lights on the evening of the 9th
Talladega Gran Prix the next morning of the 10th
Hendricks Motor Sports Tour on the 12th

7 Camaro's so far expect to gain more. I have already regestered..
