Camaro enthusiast: Ford and Dodge did a pretty good job with their cars, but I think the Camaro's better because (insert reasons here).

Camaro enthusiast: Camaro's a good car, but I think GM could've improved on a few things like (insert constructive criticism here).

and there will always be that Camaro/Mustang argument till the end of time. they have been each others direct competitor for 40+ years now

my local car club www.fastgm.com has more non-gm vehicles/owners than gm. but its all cool cus we care about going fast and having fun. we get some grudge racing in there occasionally and a lot of smack talking, but its seriously all in good fun.
I realise this, and I guess I understand some of it. But Damn I love Cars, and would hate to limit myself to one brand, I could be missing out on somthing great. Sure the Mustang has never really been a top performer, the Camaro has always had more power, but there is a special bond between the Mustang and it's owners that seem to go farther than performance. Since this is my first Mustang I have ever owned I can't put a finger on it but I see it at Club events and meetings. Some even are big GM or Dodge Truck guy yet they own a Mustang for different reasons. So far mine is, I love the Looks of the S197 and I love the 5th Gen Camaro's lines or the Dodge Challenger (Dam Sexy Car) so far for me it the way they look, or how it sounds, I could care less if it's Dodge, Ford or Chevy.........

we've got that same bond. I know exactly where you are coming from. tho I chose my alliance years ago. I will give respect where its due on a competitors part. the one thing that I will give Ford credit for is the fact that they have stayed true to their "mustang in every garage" sales pitch. by pricing it lower and offering numerous options and custom changes they have been able to sell. add to that the f-body always split the sale between 2 cars (the camaro and firebird), and lead to the camaro's hiatus. but as a musclecar enthusiast/hobbyist I give respect where it is due. I may not like the car's brand, but i cant argue with results.

I hate fanboyism and the behavior of several members disappoints me greatly. I'll even be harsher with Camaro fanboys here than with their Mustang/Challenger/import counterparts. Why? Because I want our site to be better than a collection of guys who are blind to the competetion. If they go away, fine. We don't want people like that here.

2K05GT I totally agree with you!! Fenwickhockey I am a Camaro enthusiast and I have been chopped down many a time in our beloved forum for stating that the interior could be improved or this or that. Your analysis is spot on.

Very nice, thanks for the examples!

I've had Mustangs and I drive an Exploder. Daddy brought up the family on a Ford salary, but I'm in love with the Camaro. I don't think he's missing out on anything!

Here is a fanboy thread. One of those where on this board, apparently you can have two types of cars....a 69 Camaro or a 2010 Camaro. Everything else is kicked to the curb.

I think it's fair to say you went a little further than that. Honest opinion and debate is not the problem. So, you and I agree there.

In my opinion, endless debate when all arguments have been exhausted and an inability to be able to agree to disagree is this bigger part of the problem on this site.

At the same time I can acknowledge there are other teams out there that are arguably better. But I never switch teams. Steelers won the superbowl. I have no problem giving them the credit they deserve. But I also expect other football fans to give the Cards the credit they deserve for having the lead in the superbowl with few minutes left....

Apply this to the Camaro/Mustang/Challenger pony car wars of the past and future.

My 2 cents.
I'm a Bills fan. Great analogy but I could feel the pain in there.

This will be my first GM vehicle since HS. I am a Camaro fan first. Then there is a pecking order. But no rhyme or reason behind the rest.
