List updated. If you post the ET up to the hundredths place it would be better and to the tenths place on MPH.

List updated. What was you old setup though?

If you don't plan on boosting over 10psi then you may be able to get by with the new ZL1 pump for under $300 and it is drop-in. You can always add a Boost-A-Pump later.

And I know mike, he won't send a customer out there on a stock fuel system and a BAP making more than 10PSI. I know and he knows there is people out there doing it, but I'm sure he wouldn't be comfortable with it.

That is why I said if he doesn't plan on going over 10PSI and the ZL1 pump in anything but stock on the SS as it was designed to go on the supercharged 6.2L.

ADM sells the pump for $270 shipped as well as the dual pump if the plans call for more than 600rwhp.

That's not a bad price for someone going mild.

And then what? Put a 416/twin turbo and have the risk of the trans blowing up? The point was, since the trans was already apart, upgrade the existing internals to hold the power that I was planning on getting. It would have been more cost effective that way. Just to clarify, you also recommended to swap a 4L or a TR6060 which was neither an option. In the end it didn't work out that way, but with the help of others we are making progress.

yes you said you wanted to road race it, so yes a tr6060 is a better option for that, you asked what trans would take all the abuse you throw at it, i said the 4l80e....they are options, you just dont want the spend the money on those coversions.. talk to the majority of the big shops that makes these cars fast (not the tranny shops) most will tell you the 6l80e is unreliable above 650 rwhp in a 4000+ lb car built or not... regardless of who tune is on it, honestly i have had much better luck with stock trannies living the longest at that power level.... learn the hardway, blow money... its your dime....i only do this for a living what do i know , sorry for keeping it real

The problem that I have is a lot of shops are shying away from the 6L80 like its a bad omen. No one is giving this trans a fair play. It's not going away anytime soon. There must be good reason that GM is keeping the trans. (ZL-1, CTS-V, A6 Vettes)

When the 4L came out it was the same thing, "lets stay away from it because its new" Now what? Everyone and their mom says to replace the 6L for a 4L.

There a couple of guys here that can attest to the 6L. One of them is running 10.09 in a G8. Built by Century Transmissions. Another A6 Vette is running 10.15. Built by Century Transmissions.

This is LMR's 9 second Camaro. With a built 6L80.

Yes, its my money, but if I can help establish a good rep for the 6L I will.

I got to be able to get in the low 7s with the A6 guys. I'm so close in trap speeds. What kills me is Irwindale isn't level at the staging so I have to use my e-brake or I roll a little and sometimes trip the beam a tad early.

thats great ! those trans live for a while.... but they are a wear item at high power levels, its not if but when it goes... and your talking about the 4l... what your thinking about is 4L60e, the 4l80e is and always was a stout trans because its origins stem from the th400 transmission... please dont talk down to me about these transmissions like i dont know whats up, i tune these cars and transmission nearly on a daily basis... i have not dealt with a century built transmission maybe they figured something out, i sure up so!! because believe me i want these trannies to work too...

by the way you can here the trans slip and hit the rev limiter on nearly every shift in that video.....
