The Camaro definitely earned the popular mechanics award, every time I see one it turns my head! I live on a college campus and I've seen two of them parked on one of the streets, and took pictures of them every time! I have to say, I'm jealous of anyone that owns one!

It's amazing that my 2010 still turns heads and I drive it all the time. The only other one that equals it is my 69 convertible. I have never seen so much attention paid to a new car. The stang rarely turnd heads, the challanger does sometimes, but my Camaro always does. Most magazines say the same thing. The ones that don't arn't worth reading anyway.

No kidding! A buddy of mine rented one for a couple of days to check it out. Of course with mine on order, we carpooled to work!

Funny and unexpected thing for me was as we were getting on the 2 lane on ramp to the freeway with a stop light I look across my buddy driving and said look to your left ... the passenger window opened and hand comes out with a Blackberry phone and the guy is franticly taking pictures. At the light he sticks his head out, gives us a thumbs up and drives off.

What bummed me out is it wasn’t until the split second went buy that i thought what a cool pic it would have been if I whipped out my Blackberry from inside the Camaro and took a picture of the guy taking a picture of us!!

Well, I am sure I will have more opportunities when mine comes in in a few weeks or so.

The inset front grille and the outboard round headlights offer a real link to that first Camaro, yet the big wheels and taut proportions perfectly convey 21st-century muscle.

Good design extends to the interior too: The view through the windshield is 1960s cool, yet it’s the subtleties that make this car feel so right. Of course, a Camaro wouldn’t feel right at all if there wasn’t some serious firepower under the hood. The top-dog SS models have a big 422-hp 6.2-liter V8, and even the base cars receive a potent V6 that returns 30 mpg highway.

The real triumph is that all the Camaro’s performance and intelligent design can be had for just a tick over $20,000. That’s a bargain.
